1. Purpose and Scope of Submissions

The World Congress of Natural Democracy (WCND) invites original and high-quality scholarly contributions from academicians, researchers, practitioners, policymakers, civil society members, independent scholars, and students. Submissions should align with the core theme, thematic axes, and sub-themes (thematic sections/titles) of the Congress, and contribute meaningfully to academic, policy-oriented, and civilizational discourse on natural democracy, sustainability, governance, human rights, democratic institutions, and global cooperation.

Submissions may be theoretical, empirical, comparative, policy-oriented, or case-based in nature. All submissions must demonstrate academic rigour, originality, and relevance.

2. Eligibility

Submissions are open to: - Academicians and faculty members - Researchers and research scholars - Policy professionals and practitioners - Members of civil society organisations - Independent scholars - Students (including PhD / PDF scholars)

All submitted work must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

3. Categories of Submission

WCND accepts submissions under the following categories: - Abstract Submission - Proposal Submission (Panel / Workshop / Roundtable / Dialogic & Colloquia Sessions / Exhibition, etc.) - Full-Length Paper Submission

4. Abstract Submission Guidelines

4.1 Language

  • English (British or American spelling; Oxford academic style preferred)

4.2 Length and Structure

  • Word limit: 150–200 words (maximum 2000 characters)
  • Abstract must be written as one single paragraph

4.3 Content Requirements

Each abstract must clearly and concisely include: - Title of the paper - Author(s) name(s) - Institutional affiliation(s) - Corresponding author’s email address - A brief statement of the research problem, objectives, methodology, and key arguments or findings - 3–5 keywords (in alphabetical order)

4.4 Submission Mode

Abstracts must be submitted online through the official WCND submission portal, along with the upload of a PDF or DOC file of the abstract. The uploaded file must not exceed 500 KB in size.

5. Proposal Submission Guidelines

(Panel / Workshop / Roundtable / Dialogic & Colloquia Sessions / Exhibition, etc.)

5.1 Length and Language

  • Word limit: 200–300 words
  • Language: Formal academic English & Hindi

5.2 Formatting

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt
  • Line spacing: 1.5
  • Alignment: Justified

5.3 Required Components

Each proposal must include: - Title of the proposed session/exhibition - Concept note and academic rationale - Thematic alignment with WCND themes - Structure and format of the session - Expected academic or policy outcomes - Details of participants (names, affiliations, roles) - Logistical or technical requirements (where applicable)

5.4 Submission Mode

Proposals for panels, workshops, roundtable sessions, dialogic/colloquia sessions, and exhibitions must be submitted exclusively via email. These proposals are not accepted through the online paper submission portal.

6. Full-Length Paper Submission Guidelines

6.1 Length

  • 2,000–4,000 words (minimum–maximum range for standard papers)
  • In special academic categories, extended papers of up to 6,000–8,000 words may be permitted (including references and appendices)

6.2 File Format and Size

  • Submission format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) or PDF (.pdf)
  • Maximum file size: 2 MB

6.3 Title Page

The title page must include: - Title of the paper - Author(s) and co-author(s) names - Institutional affiliations - Designation - Contact details

6.4 Structure of the Paper

Full papers should follow a standard academic structure: - Abstract (included as part of the paper) - Keywords (maximum 5, in alphabetical order) - Introduction (research problem and objectives) - Methodology - Results / Findings - Discussion - Conclusion (key takeaways and recommendations) - References - Appendices (if necessary)

7. Formatting Requirements (All Submissions)

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt
  • Line spacing: 1.5
  • Margins: 1 inch on all sides
  • Page numbers: Mandatory on all pages
  • Headings and sub-headings: Clear, consistent, and descriptive
  • Notes: Avoid endnotes; use footnotes only

8. Referencing Style

  • Follow a consistent academic citation style throughout the paper
  • Acceptable styles: APA, MLA, Chicago, or Oxford

9. Thematic and Quality Criteria

Authors are advised to ensure that submissions meet the following criteria: - Direct or indirect relevance to the theme of Natural Democracy (or Global Democracy) - Originality and scholarly significance - Clarity, coherence, and logical consistency of arguments - Methodological rigour and analytical depth - Contribution to academic, policy, or civilizational discourse

10. Ethics, Originality, and Plagiarism Policy

  • All submissions must be original work
  • Plagiarism in any form is strictly prohibited
  • Proper citation and acknowledgement of all sources is mandatory
  • Authors must adhere to accepted ethical standards in research and data usage

WCND follows a zero-tolerance policy on plagiarism.

Author Declaration
By submitting their work, authors formally declare that: - The submission is original and unpublished - The work is not under consideration elsewhere - All ethical standards have been observed

11. Author Responsibilities

Do’s

  • Be prepared to revise submissions based on reviewer feedback (if required)
  • Ensure final papers adequately address reviewer comments
  • Present the paper at the Congress if accepted (oral/poster format, as applicable)
  • Maintain high scholarly and academic language standards
  • Participants are advised to regularly consult the official WCND website (www.wndworldcongress.com) for updates. Routine announcements are ordinarily released on Mondays and Fridays at 11:00 AM and 7:00 PM (IST).
  • Participants should also regularly check their email inboxes, including spam or junk folders, for official communications.

Don’ts

  • Do not wait until the final deadline to submit
  • Do not submit the same paper more than once
  • Do not upload previously published work under any circumstances

12. Review, Selection, and Rights Policy

All abstracts, proposals, and papers are reviewed by the WCND Academic / Scientific / Review Committee.
The Organising Committee of the World Congress of Natural Democracy reserves the full and final right to accept or reject any submission based on: - Scholarly quality - Relevance to themes - Disciplinary balance
Any attempt to influence or interfere with the selection process may result in disqualification.

13. Submission Portal and Communication

Late submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances.

14. Presentation, Publication, and Registration

  • Accepted abstracts may be invited for presentation
  • Selected full papers may be considered for publication

15. Poster Presentation

A poster presentation is a concise yet rigorous academic medium designed to communicate original research, conceptual frameworks, or scholarly arguments through a visually structured format. It facilitates intellectual exchange through focused discussion, critical questioning, and interdisciplinary engagement.

1. Poster Size & Physical Specifications
A0 (Preferred):
84.1 × 118.9 cm (in centimeters)
33.1 × 46.8 inches (in inches)

Or, A1:
59.4 × 84.1 cm (in centimeters)
23.4 × 33.1 inches (in inches)

Orientation:
Portrait orientation is strongly recommended, in keeping with international academic display norms.
Landscape orientation may be used only where the conceptual or visual structure clearly necessitates it.

Margins:
Minimum 2.5 cm (1 inch) on all sides to ensure readability and a professional finish.

2. Submission & File Format
These guidelines apply to both physical posters and e-posters. Minor technical adjustments may be made for digital display; however, academic structure and scholarly standards remain identical.
Preferred format: PDF (print-ready)
Alternative formats: PPT / PPTX / high-resolution JPG or PNG

Resolution:
Physical poster: Minimum 300 dpi (mandatory)

E-poster: 150–300 dpi acceptable
Participants may submit either a physical poster or an e-poster, depending on their convenience and preferred mode of presentation.

3. Academic Structure of the Poster
A poster should follow a clear scholarly logic, comparable to a condensed research paper.
Title:
Precise, informative, and conceptually strong; clearly reflecting the central argument or inquiry.
Author(s) & Institutional Affiliation:
Full name(s), institutional affiliation(s), and country.
Abstract / Research Objective (100–150 words):
Concise statement of purpose, scope, methodology, and scholarly contribution.
Note: The abstract provides a summary overview, while the introduction offers necessary theoretical or contextual grounding.
Introduction / Contextual Background:
Theoretical, civilizational, empirical, or historical context with clear articulation of the research problem.
Methodology / Conceptual Framework:
Research design, analytical approach, or philosophical framework.
Key Findings / Arguments / Insights:
Central claims, results, or interpretative insights. Use of bullet points and visual models is encouraged.
Conclusion / Implications:
Scholarly significance, ethical or policy implications, and future research directions.
Selected References:
3–6 essential citations only. APA / MLA / Chicago styles accepted.

4. Visual & Design Principles (Recommended)
High-contrast color schemes for accessibility.
Consistent font family (maximum two fonts).
Clear visual hierarchy.
Visual elements should support scholarly argumentation.

5. Acknowledgement (Optional)
Funding agencies, institutional support, or research assistance may be acknowledged.

16. Copyright and Final Provisions

By submitting their work, authors grant WCND the right to include accepted submissions in Congress materials, reports, and official documentation. WCND reserves the right to withdraw or reject submissions in cases of non-compliance with guidelines.
