Welcome Message

From the President, WCND 2026 India

It is our honour and privilege to warmly welcome you to the World Congress of Natural Democracy 2026, the first-ever Natural Democracy Congress in the history of humankind.
The World Congress of Natural Democracy (WCND) 2026 is more than an international gathering—it is a moral and civilizational call. Humanity stands at a decisive crossroads where the survival of democracy, nature, and future generations depends on our collective wisdom and courage.
For centuries, democratic systems have remained confined within national boundaries and human-centered frameworks. Today, global crises—climate change, ecological degradation, inequality, technological disruption, and the loss of human dignity—demand a deeper and more inclusive vision. Natural Democracy offers this necessary evolution: a democratic order that recognizes the rights of nature, the dignity of all life, and the responsibilities of humanity toward the Earth and generations yet unborn.
WCND 2026 India, affirms that democracy must no longer exist on Earth alone, but with Earth. Universal citizenship beyond borders, ethical governance of science and technology, justice rooted in ecological balance, freedom, and peace founded on compassion are no longer ideals—they are imperatives.
We warmly invite thinkers, scholars, youth, policymakers, and citizens of the world to join this historic journey. Together, let us shape a life-centric, Earth-centric, and future-oriented constitutional horizon—where humanity rediscovers its rightful place within the natural order of life.

Welcome Message

From the International Chair of the Hosting Committee, WCND 2026, India

We are honoured to invite you to the World Congress of Natural Democracy 2026 — the first global event dedicated to the vision of Natural Democracy. On the occasion of the 80th UN foundation day 2025, the World Natural Democracy announced that the ‘World Congress of Natural Democracy’ will commence in 2026 coinciding with World Soil Day., aiming that the congress will be conducted in major international languages, ensuring broad participation worldwide.
On the land of devotion, where, we are led by the values of world is one family, non-violence, truth and togetherness, exemplified in our belief in Vasudaiva Kutumbakam and Gautam Buddha’s teachings shaping the moral conscience of humanity — we aim to come together to re-envision democracy in the Indian spiritual mould for a new civilizational era.
Our times are marked by unprecedented challenges. The accelerating climate crisis, ecological collapse, pandemics, and global militarization compel us to redefine democracy — not merely as a national system, but as a global necessity.
At the heart of this Congress lies the vision of Universal Nationality beyond boundaries, defining it as World as one family. Humanity can no longer remain confined within divisions of race, nation, or creed. Our shared concerns for building peace, safeguarding environment, humanizing technology transcends all borders. Universal Nationality does not erase cultures; it harmonizes them.
From this vision arises Global Democracy:’ Democracy on Earth, Democracy with Earth’. More than a political structure, it is a living philosophy grounded in collective imagination that we need to protect our environment, we are not separate from nature but born from it, sustained by it and eventually return to it. The Buddhist principle of ‘Pratitya-Samutpada’ or interdependence should be the democratic consciousness and planetary responsibility — integrating scholarship, civic participation, and cross-cultural dialogue.
India — the land of peace and non-violence — offers fertile ground for this endeavour. Scholars and practitioners from philosophy, politics, sociology, ecology, law, economics, psychology, and peace studies will engage in thematic sessions, collaborative roundtables, and experiential dialogues.
The Congress will serve as a space for reflection, dialogue, and collective action toward a humane and sustainable interdependent civilization.
Participants from across continents will hopefully join this global endeavour by the foundation in the sacred land of knowledge, peace, and enlightenment in November 2026.
As the International Chair of the Hosting Committee, WCND 2026, India,
I warmly welcome you to this transformative Congress.

Prof. Sunaina Singh
Former Vice-Chancellor, Nalanda University (International)

Welcome Message

From the International Vice-Chair of the Hosting Committee, WCND 2026, India

With joy, enthusiasm and sense of responsibility, we announce the first World Congress of Natural Democracy (WCND 2026), to be held in India from 14th–20th November 2026.
In an era overshadowed by conflict, inequality, climate distress and rapid technological transformations, humanity stands at a crossroads - like a bystander.
The wisdom of India has long taught that the world is one family — Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. Today, this timeless vision calls us to reimagine democracy, as a living principle rooted in harmony between people, planet and all forms of life.
Natural Democracy envisions a global order guided by shared responsibility, ethical stewardship and mutual respect among the stakeholders. It seeks to reinforce the moral foundations of governance by aligning human freedom with ecological balance and universal dignity.
WCND 2026 shall strive to bring together thinkers, policymakers and citizens from across the world to reflect, dialogue and co-create pathways towards a just and sustainable future.
Hosted in India—the land of Gandhi, where non-violence and truth shaped the conscience of humanity—this historic assembly will mark the First ever Congress in Human History dedicated to uniting people, the planet and the future generations in the spirit of peace, justice and universal responsibility.
Let us dare to dream together .....

Prof. M. Nehal
Former Founding Registrar, Nalanda University (International) Rajgir

World Congress 2026

21 Universities for the 21st Century

Guided by the vision of WCND 2026, and in recognition of the shared responsibility to address the pressing challenges of the twenty-first century, twenty-one of the world’s most distinguished institutions are respectfully invited, as Honoured Invited Institutions of the Earth, to contribute their wisdom to a dialogue on the critical global conditions of the twenty-first century and the rights of unborn generations, and to engage in voluntary intellectual collaboration in the service of peace, shared knowledge, and a united future for humanity.

This invitation is of special significance because Natural Democracy regards knowledge as a shared human endeavor rather than dividing institutions, recognizing that global challenges cannot be addressed by any one institution alone. Moreover, as the first Congress of Natural Democracy in human history, this event carries historic importance, making the honour of participation particularly meaningful.
